About Jack Casazza
John Andrew (Jack) Casazza
A highly-skilled professional with an international
reputation in the energy field, Jack Casazza is versed in the technical,
institutional, and regulatory aspects of energy systems. Formerly a corporate
officer for a large utility in the United States and an executive with major
consulting firms, he has been responsible for forecasting, DSM studies,
integrated system planning, developing generation and transmission plans;
economic and financial evaluations, intercompany contract negotiations, rate and
cost of service studies, merger studies and analyses, strategic planning,
organizational planning, pooling and coordination studies, system reliability
standard establishment and evaluations, cogeneration analysis, research
programs, and applications of new technology. He has been responsible for
consulting projects in the United States, South America, Canada, Africa, Asia,
Australia, and Europe.
He is an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer, explaining world wide
the impact of new legislation and regulation on the reliability and cost of
electric service. He has testified extensively before Federal and State
regulatory, legislative, and judicial bodies on many issues of national and
local importance. He continues to be involved in national and international
activities related to future electric system developments and electric power
policy. He is one of the founders of Power Engineering Supporting Truth.
